In season 2 episode 12, "Skeletons in the Closet" is the Oklahoma story of Shaun Stemple, Trisha Stemple, and Shaun's lover, Dani Wood. Shaun Stemple and Terry Hunt killed Trisha and left her body beside the road.

The show is described as: Faviell and Charles Martinez are doomed from the moment they meet. Wandering eyes lead these lovers on a treacherous path. Shaun and Trisha Stemple have the ideal life. That is, until Shaun meets a young waitress, turning this family inside out.

Shaun was convicted of murder, sentenced to death and was executed on March 15, 2012. His mother, Lia Stemple insisted he was innocent after his execution, despite statements made by Terry Hunt who declared they were in fact guilty.
