Derek Allan Ofenham
Janet Howard
In season 2 episode  3 "Driven by Desire" is about the
marriage of  Mark and Janet Howard. All is well until Janet has an affair with Derek Ofenham. Mark Howard ends up dead in the state of Oregon in 2006.

ID describes the show as a beauty queen and a ball player have a world champion affair. Their charmed life turns deadly when someone is eager to score. Later, a pizza boy and an accountant find the ticket to marital bliss, but when an affair heats things up, someone gets burned.

The interview lasted about three and a half hours, and defendant eventually confessed to killing the victim. Neither of the detectives who conducted the interview, Braziel and Donaca, gave defendant Miranda warnings again during that interview. After defendant admitted to murdering the victim, defendant received a call on his cell phone, and Donaca took the phone, which was never answered. Defendant never indicated that he wanted to take the call, that he wanted to stop talking with police, that he wanted a lawyer, or that he wanted to call anyone-although later, around the time that he was lodged in jail, he asked someone to call his mother and tell her what was happening.

Ultimately, he was convicted of murder and sentenced to life without parole. Janet Howard was not charged in the murder.
